Are Girls Taught to Be Risk-Takers?

How do we evaluate risk as we get older?  As we age, we become aware of our changing health, our income-earning years start to shrink.  The bold moves we made when younger seem like they belonged to someone else.  Do we think of our mistakes and caution our daughters to start saving earlier, settle down with a secure job rather than playing the field.  Would we do the same with our sons?
